Appointments

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes. We recommend booking an appointment to ensure we can provide your pet with dedicated consultation time. If your pet is experiencing an urgent medical problem, please call us immediately and we'll do our best to see you as soon as possible.

How long is a consultation?

Consultation times vary depending on your pet's needs. More complex medical conditions or multiple concerns may require a longer appointment.

Can I book online?

Yes. You can conveniently book your appointment online or contact our reception team by phone.

New Clients

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes. We welcome new dogs and cats and look forward to meeting you and your pet.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

If available, please bring:

  • Previous veterinary records

  • Vaccination history

  • Current medications

  • Any relevant test results

  • Your pet's favourite treats (if appropriate)

Preventive Healthcare

When should my puppy or kitten receive vaccinations?

Vaccinations begin when puppies and kittens are young and continue as a series to provide the best protection. Our veterinarians will recommend a schedule based on your pet's age and lifestyle.

How often does my pet need a health check?

Most healthy adult pets benefit from an annual health examination. Puppies, kittens, senior pets and those with ongoing medical conditions may require more frequent visits.

Does my pet need parasite prevention all year round?

Yes. Fleas, ticks, heartworms, intestinal worms and other parasites can be present throughout the year. We recommend year-round parasite prevention tailored to your pet's lifestyle.

Dentistry

Does my pet really need professional dental cleaning?

Yes. Dental disease is extremely common in dogs and cats and often develops without obvious signs. Professional dental treatment helps remove plaque and tartar, assess the health of each tooth and treat painful dental disease.

Do you perform dental X-rays?

Yes. Dental X-rays allow us to assess the parts of the tooth hidden beneath the gumline, helping identify problems that cannot be seen during a visual examination.

Surgery

Is my pet monitored during anaesthesia?

Yes. Patient safety is our priority. Pets undergoing anaesthesia are closely monitored throughout their procedure by trained veterinary professionals using modern monitoring equipment.

How long does my pet take to recover after surgery?

Recovery depends on the procedure performed. We'll provide detailed home care instructions, pain relief recommendations and follow-up advice to help ensure a smooth recovery.

Emergencies

How do I know if my pet needs urgent veterinary attention?

Contact us immediately if your pet is:

  • Having difficulty breathing

  • Collapsed or unable to stand

  • Having seizures

  • Repeatedly vomiting

  • Struggling to urinate

  • Bleeding heavily

  • Involved in a major accident

  • Suspected of eating a toxin

If you're unsure, it's always safest to call our team for advice.

Diagnostics

Can blood tests be performed at your clinic?

Yes. Our in-house laboratory allows many blood tests to be performed quickly, helping us diagnose illness and begin treatment sooner.

Do you offer X-rays and ultrasound?

Yes. We provide modern diagnostic imaging to investigate a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept a variety of payment methods for your convenience. We do not surcharge you for using credit cards, including American Express. If you have any questions about payment options, our reception team will be happy to assist.
